ATOD website

Submitted by: velishasimmons

So me and Will have been working on this website for the county named ATOD, which stands for Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs. It is a Website for the youth or really anyone that needs help with recovery. We are building the site with Drupal and working our way up. It is coming along very well. Right now I am working on the home page design. I never knew I had an eye for design. I am glad I got the opportunity to find that out. Photoshop is so cool, I'm slowly but surely mastering it. The site will be up in a few days, I will be sure to keep you guys up to date! See ya!

And we're Back!

Whoa! It seems like forever since I've been on here. Have you missed me Drupal? Because I sure have missed you! After the DrupalCon2010 we had a slight problem, but we're back and I'm like {{{FINALLY}}}!

Certified Geek

Wow. Who knew that PHP could be so entertaining and educational? Hey everyone! Nimo here again. I'm blogging to you guys live from the Drupal Conference 2010 taking place in our very own Bay Area; San Francisco!

I was sitting in the session titled PHP for Non Programmers in room 303. It was presented by a female named Diana (*NOTE TO ALL WHO ARE PRESENT: SHE IS AN AVID FOOTBALL FAN . . . WHO DOESN'T LIKE THE COLTS! :P) This session was filled with laughter and, no offense, geeks. The odd thing about it? I felt as if I belonged to that group of geeks.

Drupal Chix*

Yesterday I attended a Birds of a Feather session called Drupal Chix*. It was packed with nothing but successful female Drupal users. I was amazed to see and hear what they had to say. There was about 100 people in there but that was not all of the females that attended the DrupalCon2010. I felt proud to be a part of this conference and makes me realize how much an opportunity this is. I believe I was the youngest  in that group and that makes me feel even more capable!

Strictly Business

I'm not a business woman, but when it comes to my "clients", I make sure they get the top notch service that they deserve so that their needs are met with satisfaction.

In case you don't already know, the EPA.net Creative has been split into 2 teams: the community group and the Enterprise team. The Community group deals with, well . . . the community of East Palo Alto (duh!) and the Enterprise team deals with client work.

Rewarding Waste Management

Submitted by: nlesui

Hey everyone! My name is Nimo and this is my first blog. I'll be reporting live from the Drupal Conference 2010 here in San Francisco about being rewarded for waste management.

The session started at 11:00 a.m. on the dot and it captivated me how only 2 people out of the, I'm estimating here, 30+ people get rewarded for recycling. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce Greenopolis.

Staff Brag #2: Liz, aka "Ace"

Submitted by: Nancy Brink

I wanted to share with you all the present Liz gave me for my birthday, a beautiful painting. Liz is an incredible artist, with a unique vision that combines her Samoan culture and a commitment to positive graffiti. I love the quote she wove into the painting: "Open your mind with open doors to the wonders of the world. Only you can decide your wonders of the world." That represents well what Liz is all about.

My first staff bragging session: Anthony

I'm starting with Anthony, our gifted staff cartoonist, because he grew up at EPA.net, so to speak, when it was a program of Plugged In. While in school, he learned about computers and web design and more, volunteering with EPA.net and helping with posting of content and other critical tasks.
